Julia Jenkins has performed as a music theatre, cabaret and jazz artist for two decades, her potent voice captivating audiences with its distinct sound.

Julia honed her craft treading the boards. Her musical theatre credits include 'Maureen' in the West Australian premiere of RENT, 'Audrey' in Little Shop of Horrors, and 'Kate' in the world premiere of new musical Some Kind of Beautiful, receiving critical acclaim for each of these powerhouse performances. She has appeared as 'Flo Manero' in Saturday Night Fever and, most recently, as 'Miss Lynch' in Grease.

Established as a formidable cabaret artist, Julia presented her first solo show, Among Friends, to sell-out audiences Downstairs at The Maj in 2009. The following year saw her star in Taking Liberties! A Divine Bette Midler Experience and We’ll Meet Again: The Music of Vera Lynn, each to rave reviews. 2011 included Le Grand Revue Deux: Women of Rock and her hit one-woman show, In These Shoes. She has also featured in Broads On Broadway, Live and Dangerous, Dirty Rotten Rat Pack, Alive In Vegas, Le Grand Revue, Franklin, Guy/Doll and You’ve Got That Thing! Julia arrived on the Australian recording industry scene in 2011, with the release of her debut album, My Escape. My Escape is the result of a collaboration with composer and producer, Nunzio Mondia, who has previously worked with legendary artists such Hank Marvin, Thelma Houston and Shirley Bassey. The album is an eclectic mix of ten original tracks, all with lyrics by Jenkins.

Julia is currently based in London.
